Register Early for Classes

Register early so you won’t be disappointed. Some classes often reach the maximum enrollment early. Also, classes depend on minimum enrollments. Don’t take a chance or your class may be cancelled.

How to Register

For your convenience, we offer several registration options:

Are you in?

No class confirmations are sent, so you may assume you are registered for your class unless you hear otherwise from us. Simply show up for the class and enjoy!

Who May Register

Persons 16 years of age and over who are not presently attending high school. Students in grades 7-12 will be permitted to enroll in all Community Education courses, except some Do-It-Yourself classes, on a space available basis. Students can register for learning opportunities designed for them.

Cancellation Policy

The District reserves the right to withdraw any course in which registration is insufficient, fees paid will be refunded. No fees will be refunded after classes have started. In the event you have to cancel, we can give a full credit voucher or refund only if you notify the Community Education Office:  218-998-0544, ext. 9200 - at least 48 hours prior to start of class.

In Event of Inclement Weather

When regular school is closed because of weather conditions, Community Education classes will also be cancelled. Closing announcements will be made on: Leighton Broadcasting in Fergus Falls: KJJK-AM (1020), KJJK-FM (96.5), KBRF-AM (1250), KZCR-FM (Z-103.3), KPRW-FM (99.5). Fargo Radio: KFGO-AM (790), KVOX-AM (1280), KBAF-FM (B-93), KRVI-FM (The River 95.1), KKBX-FM (The Box 101.9), WDAY-FM (Y-94). TV Fargo: KXJB (4), WDAY (6), KVLY (11). TV Alexandria, KSAX (5).

In addition, weather announcements are also located on the school's phone system (218-998-0544) and on the website at www.fergusotters.org/alerts.
